Led by Experience
N14 Tutoring Services is led by Charlie, a retired headteacher with over thirty years of experience in primary education across all Key Stages.
Throughout his career, Charlie has worked as a class teacher, senior leader, and headteacher, gaining a deep understanding of how children learn and what enables them to thrive. He holds a PGCE in Primary Education, the National Professional Qualification in Executive Leadership (NPQEL), and is Enhanced DBS checked, ensuring the highest professional and safeguarding standards.
He has supported pupils of all abilities — from those requiring additional support to those seeking greater challenge — always tailoring his approach to the individual child.
With extensive experience preparing pupils for KS2 SATs and 11+ entrance examinations, he understands both the academic demands and the importance of building confidence alongside knowledge.
A Strong Local Connection
As a lifelong resident of N14, Charlie’s roots in Southgate stretch back generations. He returned to the area in his late twenties to teach at the primary school he once attended as a child. This strong connection to the community provides a unique understanding of local schools, families, and expectations.
